Missing Contacts

OK - me again- I finally magaged to get my messages imported, but all my
contacts are missing. Any ideas?
Here is what I have done:
*Old computer- closed outlook - searched for .pst files - copy, paste, save
to disk - *Save to new computer on desktop with read only unchecked -
*In outlook : File- Open - Outlook Data File - File saved on desktop.

This is where I am now - messages are there in a new folder - all contacts
are missing.
Here is the kicker- I COPIED from the old computer (didn't move or alter
original files) - Old computer blanked out while I was doing this (froze with
just the background image showing) - it stayed that way for ~3-5 min - Now
all the messages that I was copying and the contacts are missing from the old
computer and I cannot seem to retreive them (IDK how either, haven't
researched enough yet to find enough steps to try retrieval)

So now - any ideas for me?

Close Outlook on new PC, move any pst files on the actual desktop to your
Documents folder.
Open Outlook, it will complain, .........point/browse to the pst files in
your Documents folder
(It is unwise to store data files on the actual desktop)

Address Book is missing

Now I seem to have another issue:
I moved the items to documents.
Now one of the "personal folders" created when I went through the steps of
opening data file, has disapeared - and I can't locate the contents in any of
the other files.

Also - when I right click on a folder that has some content - and go to
properties - there is not an "Outlook Address Book" tab. I have "General" -
"Home Page" - "AutoArchive" - "Administration" - and "Forms"

Only a Contacts folder will have the Outlook Address Book tab. Check your
mail profile to make sure your Outlook Address Book service is OK. Use the
Mail applet in Control Panel.

OOOPS
Never mind - I think I got it.
Make sure to click on "Contacts" before trying to add to address book via
afore mentioned tab
