Missing content from .one file

Chris

I have a 10 MB .one file that suddenly lost all of it's content --- I've
tried viewing it on other machines, but there's nothing there anymore...

Any suggestions for resurrecting this content? The file IS 10 MB...

Thanks,
Chris

First off, where are you storing the file? Network share? SharePoint?
Something else? Are you using any caching/sync technology (Windows
Offline Files, folder share, etc?)?

As far as the data, first thing to do is check if the backups have a
recent version (file->open backup). If that doesn't work, it's possible
the file got corrupted somehow and OneNote isn't seeing the missing
pages. You can try repairing it by running "onenote /forcerepair
PathToFile" from a command prompt.

Thanks Ilya -- but the backup is bad and the /forcerepair didn't work... When
I optimized the notebooks (I made copies first), the file size shrunk to 9K
-- so the stuff is probably gone eh?
