Missing Cursor plus other issues

When I type in Word 2008, the flashing cursor, that shows where the next character I type will appear, is missing. Is there a way to turn it on?

When I made a change to text in the footer, the entire footer disappears. Command-z will bring it back. But I did notice that if you click out of the footer, the change text does re-appear.

Also I imported a PNG file. In Word 2004 I can click on the image to display the handles. In 2008, the line around the image does not appear on the right-hand side of the image and there are no handles on the right. I am used to using the bottom-right handle to resize images.

This is probably a graphics driver problem. In which case, you need to wait
for an update from Apple.

We have had sporadic reports of this. Do you have any Haxies running
(helper applications not made by Apple...)

I suspect that the PNG problem is because the edge of the picture is outside
the printable area.

Hope this helps

Thanks John.

I already have Leopard, but I'm waiting to upgrade until I upgrade the last application - Filemaker Pro.

I'll test Word 2008 in Leopard and see if the same problem occur.
