Missing custom toolbar

Sally

Hello

I have a problem with some of my documents. There is a
custom toolbar which someone has set up containing all
our styles and some macros which is supposed to be
attached to all our documens.

For some reason this toolbar disappears in some of my
docs and in others docsit is visable but the style drop
down is greyed out so thay I can't click it.

Does any one know what has gone wrong

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sally,

I'm guessing this is an ADDIN template stored in your START
folder. If your computer is loading more than one Addin,
it's possible that the last Addin being loaded is masking
the toolbars in the Addin you're wanting to use.

If you go to Tools/Template and Addins, how many items do
you see in the list? And if you uncheck everything except
the one you want to use, does that help?

Thanks for replying.

There is only one item listed under addins and thats the
toolbar I need. On the documents that have not toolbar
showing at all I have clicked in the check box and the
toolbar appears in the document but it is still greyed
out. The actual template itslef (.dot) also has the
toolbar greyed out.

Any other ideas?

The entire toolbar is greyed out, or just the style
dropdown?

which version of Word are we dealing with?

What's the name of the toolbar (text across the top)?

If you rename your Normal.dot template to NormalOLD.dot then
start Word, do you still see the same problem?
