Hello,
I'm attempting to import a project plan from an excel 2003 file into
Project Pro 2007. We import just fine, but then when we attempt to
import the same excel 2003 project plan file with updated data in it,
we choose to merge the data instead of apphend. This is where the
problem occurs.
We are merging 2 text fields that track start and finish dates and
mapping them to a custom field for Start 1, and Finish 1. We've also
tried mapping them to text fields.
The data imports fine for about 1900ish rows, but then just stops,
leaving the rest of the fields with N/A. The last 400 or 500 are
spotty, with some having data and some not. All of the fields have
data in this column, it just doesnt seem to be pulling it over. The
formatting of the dates is the same.
The total project is about 25,000 rows long. Is this perhaps an issue
with the size of the project? If so, is there a way around it? We have
data coming from a different system that needs to be merged into this
project plan regularily, and this seems to be the best way, if it
would work.
