Entourage 2008 Version 12.1.5
Mac OSX 10.4.11

Mail from some correspondents always arrived in my inbox with no content. I
have found that if I redirect the mail to myself I can see the content of
the returned redirected mail

1. what is happening here?
2. can I find a more elegant way of recovering the situation without being
dependent on someone else?

First thing to try is to make sure Entourage is fully up-to-date. Select
Help menu --> Check for Updates.

Hope this helps!

Make sure that the messages are fully downloaded. Do you something like ³get
entire message at next connection² at the top of the message. Check to see
if you have to partially download messages under the Options tab in the
Account window.

Thanks for the suggestion Diane.

However,

I don't get that message - in fact I don't get any indication of an error.
Furthermore, I don't have the partial download option set and it only
happens with certain correspondents - but every time with these
correspondents. This suggests that it is something to do with the
construction or format of their eMails.

I can correct the viewing issue (I think) by simply re-directing the eMail
back to myself. My guess is that the redirect strips the eMail of whatever
is causing entourage to filter out the message body - but I am guessing..

One other thought - these message bodies contain and html object. I am not
sure if other correspondents use html in their messages.

Can you use "Forward as Attachment" and send me an example off list.

EntourageHelp at gmail dot com <-- fix before replying.

Prefix your subject with: newsgroup response

Otherwise open one of these emails and under View in the Menu bar select the
Internet Headers and copy that into a reply. You can xx out any private
info.

Hello all,

I am experiencing the same issue. I have Entourage 2008 on Mac 10.5.8, and since this morning, I receive the emails, but can't view the content. No "Download the entire email" or an error message.

Under Message in the Menu bar select Source. Do you see the contents of the message here?
