Missing Email Messages from Exchange

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

The user is running Entourage 2008 version 12.1.1 on a MacBook Pro with OSX Tiger. His mailbox is on Exchange 2007 and his mailbox is >12 GB.

He does not see the email messages any where in his Entourage inbox. When he does a search, he
is able to see the emails. These emails are suppose to be associated with a folder but it is not. When he sorts it by folder name the missing messages appear to sort as if they are associated with those folders. But the folder
name does not appear next to the messages and he cannot access those messages directly from the inbox. He can fully access and read the missing emails from the search.

When we look for those missing messages from webmail, it does not appear in any searches. This means those email messages are located on his local cache database. I do not want to clear the cache for Entourage or for Spotlight
because I do not want to lose these messages.

I need to somehow get those messages back into the Exchange mailbox and back into the folder it is suppose to be associated with. How can I accomplish this? Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
The user is running Entourage 2008 version 12.1.1 on a MacBook Pro with
OSX Tiger. His mailbox is on Exchange 2007 and his mailbox is >12 GB.

He/she should be in 12.1.5. Lots of bug corrected between the two...
He does not see the email messages any where in his Entourage inbox.

Database corruption?? Bad Exchange cache?? I would purge the Exchange
cache first, then eventually rebuild the database.

The database was successfully rebuilt. I will take a copy of his database and rebuild it on Entourage 2008 version 12.1.15 and then I'll try to see if I can archive his missing emails and put them back into his Exchange mailbox. I do not want to purge his Entourage cache because it might delete those missing emails and I will not have access them at all since these emails do not appear on the Exchange server.
