Missing emails

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

A strange problem: emails that show in Outlook Web Access are not being downloaded using Entourage. Some are, but not all.

The same emails are showing in Mac Mail.

The user needs the functionality of Entourage for other things.

Any have any idea what is causing this?

Thanks.

If you see this in just one or a handful of folders then right-click or
Control-click that folder, select Folder Properties and click the Empty
button to empty the cache. You can also select the account itself and
empty the cache for all of your folders.

Thanks for the reply, but I have tried that approach.

I think it may stem from our Exchange server. I know that if there is a + in the subject field it sometimes has this problem.

Strange thing is that it is not common to all of our Mac users with Entourage.

The " + " sign issue is pretty consistent. I don't believe any current
Entourage users can receive these messages. So, if some folks receive a
message and some don't then that's probably not the cause. But this is
easy to determine by comparing Entourage to OWA.

The Mac I use (an iMac about 6 months old) receives emails with a + in the subject, but another colleague using a Mac Mini does not.

The offending emails are there in OWA and using Apple Mail, but not Entourage...

I'm going to see if I can locate the problem in our Exchange server.

Thanks for the responses, much appreciated.

Was the + a problem in E2004 too, or did it occur only in E 2008?

Hi Ed,

We never used 2004 with Exchange Server. When we installed Exchange we were already on 2008 version.
