A customer of mine uses the FrontPage2002 SP3 client on a WIN XP
Pro SP2 box. The server is a Unix system, running Apache 1.3 with
the Microsoft fp2002 extensions shoehorned in. This setup has been
workiing for the past few years.
When the customer starts the FrontPage client, his web site is
not visible - the folder tree that normally lives along the left
of the screen is empty. The website works fine, all of the data
is there, but he can't use FP to edit the site.
He's tried re-publishing, re-initializing the FP server extensions
on the web server, and nothing seems to fix it. I suppose it could
be due to some mixup with the server extensions on the Web server but
I don't know where to start looking.
He also says he went to a different computer in his office and
had the same problem, which suggests that the problem is not due to
broken client software.
Any idea what might be going on here? I was able to take a sniff
of the traffic from the web server, but there were no server errors
that occurred during the startup.
Thanks,
