Missing files in Word and Works 2000

Last night I uninstalled my Microsoft Home Publishing PIP
Platinum using the cleanup utiliites suggested to me by
the newsgroup. I have successfully uninstalled PIP but
now I am missing files in my Word and Works program.
I uninstalled words and works and reinstall but I am still
missing files.
What did I do wrong and how can I fix the problem?
