Missing fonts in Office after reinstalling operating system.

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

Hi there, I had to re install my OS X yesterday as a badly programed piece of software killed my whole iMac! It took a long time, but it seemed everything had installed correctly and that my user account was still fine until I wend to send an email, and instead of appearing in the default font Calibri, it came up in Lucida Grande. I went to find Calibri in the fonts folder but it was missing. I then noticed a lot of other fonts were missing also - I think all the fonts provided by Office Suite, so I'm left with nasty Arial, Comic Sans and the like. What can I do? Please help me!

Office 2008 Font Install Basics:

Office 2008 uses a different method for fonts and many fonts are new
versions. Office 2008 will install fonts to the /Library/Fonts/Microsoft
folder. By being at the root, then all users on the machine have access to
them and you don't get Office 2008 putting multiple copies on the machine
for each user.

The installer will scour /Library/Fonts/ and ~/Library/Fonts/ for fonts with
the same name and move them to /Library/Disabled Fonts/ or
~/Library/Disabled Fonts/ depending on where they were found.

Note some of the Microsoft fonts are newer than the Apple fonts.

Try disabling Curlz MT. Some users have had problems with this font.

OK, now you understand how Office installs the 2008 fonts, you will need to
use your Office install CD and use the customize option to just install the
fonts.

The current release of Office 2008 is 12.1.3. Look under About Entourage.
The full version is now shown.
