Missing functionality

Where have the Image Selection and Cutout options gone?

It was really useful to be able for our account management teams to perform basic editing of designer's files without the need for complex software.

Now that seems to have gone and we'll have to look for additional software to provide this functionality.

I am missing something?

No, you're not missing anything. That capability was eliminated in 2008
because of Apple's abandoning of PICT in favor of PNG as the native graphic
format in OS X. Also, the new graphics engine introduced in 2008 may have
had something to do with the decision. Consequently most of the bitmap
editing tools were dropped.

You're not the only one who misses it. You might take a moment to use Help>
Send Feedback to emphasisze the need for such capability. Perhaps an
equivalent will be included in a future release of Office.
