In Word and Powerpoint, graphics do not appear. Place holders are present
in Word sometimes. In Powerpoint, under Slides in the left column the slides
appear correct, however, in the slide editor screen, the background is gray
and clip art does not appear.
Workaround, pull Word or Powerpoint to main display. Under Display Settings
Troubleshooting turn hardware acceleration to off. Change Display Settings
to turn off extend desktop to secondary monitor, OK. Turn extend desktop to
second monitor back on. Keep Word or PP documents on primary display and use
secondary display for internet, other documents and whatever else is open.
Graphics now can be seen.
Same documents work without problem on same configuration except AGP bus
X800 and full speed.
I have searched for this across the internet for over a year. Finally, it
took a $35 phone call to work through the process to find a workaround.
