missing items when customizing toolbar commands

H

H. Crawford

I am trying to customize my Outlook. I had set it up to show the "news" link
(for the newsgroups) on the standard toolbar. I had to delete that link at
one point, because it seemed to take me to a folder (don't remember which
one) rather than the newsgroups. (It worked before I installed some software,
but I think that messed things up.) Anyway, when I tried to customize my
toolbar a second time, the option "news" no longers shows up under the "Go"
command. Any recommendations?

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

You may need to reset the menu or toolbar using Tools, customize.
