Missing jpegs in presentation from PC to Mac

I have a presentation created in Powerpoint 97 on a pc. In opening it on an
imac, the file opened with text intact but absolutely none of the jpeg
pictures.

Anyone know of a reason and/or solution?

Gretchen,

If could be because all the pictures where "linked" and not embedded in the
powerpoint 97 presentation.
