If I try to translate a portion of a Word 2007 documem English to another
language - e.g. German - and open the Review Toolbar/Proofing and select
Translate get the usual pane with the option to "Translate a word or
sentence" and a selection list window From and To.
HOWEVER, when trying to select the language pairs (say From English and To
German) NEITHER list is populated with ANY language so translation is
impossible.
I used to have this in Word 2003 and it worked well and flawlessly. What
has happened to this feature in Word 2007? How can I get the language lists
to populate with French, German and Spanish?
If I select Translation options in the Proofing/Translation it displays a
Translation Options window with two sections (Bilingual dictionary and
Machine translation) both of which display an Available language pairs window
that is empty. How can I get the language pairs windows to populate with
French, German and Spanish?
