I corrected this problem by downloading and updating all
of the printer drivers that where available to this PC. I
do not know how this resolved the problem, but it did. I
had initially tried uninstalling the printers and
reinstalling them, but this did not help. Only until I
acquired more recent drivers for each printer and
installed them, did this issue disappear.
