Missing Lookup values in custom fields in msp2007

I have custom fields defined in my Global.mpt. When a new file is created
these fields are automatically copied to the new mpp.

Some of the fields have lookup values. In msp2003 the lookup values would
be copied along with the other custom field properties. In msp2007 the
lookup values are missing.

Other field type properties copy over fine; graphical indicators, formulas.

This appears to be another bug. Its there a work-around?
I am using msp2007 w/ sp1.
