Missing Mail Messages - help needed.

Chris Mitchell

I've got two email addresses with the same ISP, that use the same Logon
Information (User Name & Password).

On my old PC running WIN 98 SE and Outlook 2000 I used to be able to
download messages for both accounts at the same time, ie from the same
Outlook widow/session, to the same InBox, and clicking Send/Receive only once.

I've tried to set this up on the new PC, running WIN XP Home and Outlook
2002, but to no avail. I know there are messages in the second account
because I can see them via the ISP's web mail page, but I can't download them
to Outlook 2002.

I've checked the account details of the second account and all appears to be
in order, they are the same as the default/master account which works OK,
other than the User Information E-Mail Address. Both accounts pass Outlook'
s 'Test Account Settings .' test OK, but when I Send/Receive I don't get
messages for the second address.

I'm probably missing something very simple as I don't do much of this sort
of thing, I tend to set a machine up once in a while, every three years or
so, so I tend to forget a great deal in between times.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what I might be missing.

Have you tried to "disable" your first account, and then try to download
just the second account?
That should help you identify if there is a problem solely with that second
account.....
