In manuals and help files I read about an "Extra" menu, but Word 2008 does not have this. It however was included in Word 2004. Where can I find this, or, where can I get a manual that corresponds with this Office 2008 home version ?

Word 2004 doesn't come with any menus named "Extra", nor can I find it
in any Help files. What is it supposed to contain?

There is no manual, per se, for Office 2008 (home version is
substantially identical to the full version, except for Exchange Server
support and Automator actions).

Few if any software vendors provide manuals any more. They're too
expensive, and they're out-of-date within a month or two of release.

Help and website support, (e.g.:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/help.mspx

) are supposed to take the place of manuals.

There are, however, several books that you can find in bookstores and
on-line that provide instruction in basic and intermediate features. I
haven't compared them, so I can't make a recommendation.
