Missing .MSP Files

N

Norber

I want to update the Office productos but .MSP files are
missing, may someone help me ?
This is the message that I received when I tried to check
for Office updates.

Thank you

Windows Installer patch files (.MSP files) from
previously applied Office updates are missing from the
\Windows\Installer hidden directory on your computer. MSP
files are stored on your computer after update
installation completes because they need to be referenced
for future update operations. If the files are missing
you will not be able to apply Office updates. You may
also be unable to uninstall Office products as a result
of the same problem. Please contact Microsoft Product
Support Services for assistance

Norber,
If you chose the option the uninstall the installation files for Office (at original installation) to save space on your drive, you can reinstall them with this tool:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...a3-695b-42c3-9045-b812ba0fed3e&DisplayLang=en
Office needs these files to update properly.

You should read the following articles before proceeding with the LIS tool:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;830168
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;825933

answer,
If there is a problem that cannot resolved for our customer/customers/self, thru kb resarch on installation/updates/file corruption/etc... we backup the system and do a fresh installation:
reinstall OS/Office (if applicable)/reload backup files/reinstall programs/etc...
