In Word 2000 SR1a, one of my users is attempting a
mailmerge, using an Excel file held on a network location
as the data source. When she browses to where the file is
located, it is not listed under the folder. She is
selecting MS Excel files for the file type & the xls file
is visible if browsed to using explorer. We use file
replication & I have checked that the file is visible on
both of the replication partners. I have rebooted the
users PC, but this made no difference. The events logs
give no indication of a problem.
Earlier today, this same user was attempting to atach some
PDF files to an email she had typed using Outlook. In a
folder that contained 8 PDF files, only 2 were visible.
Again, using explorer, all files were visible.
