Missing "Options menu" for Insert Auto Text on Header/Footer Toolb

How do I restore factory settings such as "Sincerely," "Regards," or "Page x
of y"
on the "Insert Auto Text" button on the "Header and Footer" Toolbar under
the "View" menu in Word 2003? After "reinstalling" Word 2003, I found I no
longer could select information from the "Insert Auto Text" button bacause it
was BLANK!
Don't know why it went blank. Don't know how to restore those Oh so helpful
options like the page number and dates, times etc. Help! Please!

You either don't have "All active templates" selected in the Insert |
AutoText | AutoText dialog or you have overwritten Normal.dot with a
document. If you rename Normal.dot (with Word closed), Word will generate a
fresh copy (complete with AutoText entries) the next time you start the
application.
