I recently installed an update (package 3?) for Office
XP. It took a couple of times before it installed
properly but now on start up I get a box marked:
Office Web Server Configuration Wizard
Inside the box is the message:
missing or incorrect command line parameters
I have no idea what is "missing or incorrect" or where it
might be missing from. Nor do I know what the "Office
Web Server Configuration Wizard" is. I searched the
Microsoft help site for these exact words and I do not
get anything helpful.
When I search for, "Office Web Server Configuration
Wizard" I get a page called, "Welcome to the Microsoft
Office Support Center," but find no answers there. When
I search for, "missing or incorrect command line
parameters," the system tells me, "We Currently Have No
Documents That Match Your Search." This is not the first
time something like this has happened to me and I do not
understand WHY Microsoft has error messages built into
their products without ANY able to search on those error
messages and figure out what they are talking about.
Will someone PLEASE help me and would someone at
Microsoft make your error messages match up to your help
files?! Is that really too much to ask for? I realize
that you cannot plan for every contingency but you can
and should have SOME explanation for the cryptic messages
programs give me!
Best,
Jamie
