Missing Outbox items after upgrade to OL2003

The user was using OL2000 with Exchange 2000. The user would store mail
items in
their Outbox for scheduled sending some time in the future. The user was
given a new computer with OL2003. The items in the Outbox are not visible.
The user can add new mail items to the Outbox. The user can see all Outbox
items when he uses OWA.

Any ideas as to why?
