My customer has two Microsoft 2003 Terminal Servers with InfoPath 2003
installed. One works perfectly, but the other one displays some very strange
behavior involving pictures embedded in the xml. I will outline a scenario
involving two InfoPath xml files; XML1 and XML2. Both xml files contain
embedded pictures and they are based upon different xsn files. We have many
of these files on the server and all act the same.
If you double-click on XML1, it opens in InfoPath 2003 and the pictures are
not showing, just the picture place holders. Leaving XML1 open,
double-clicking on XML2 causes it to open and all pictures are visible.
Having closed all instances of InfoPath, if you double-click on XML2, it
opens in InfoPath 2003 and the pictures are not showing, just the picture
place holders. Leaving XML2 open, double-clicking on XML1 causes it to open
and all pictures are visible.
If we transfer any of these xml files to another machine and double-click on
them, the pictures are shown the first time without having InfoPath
previously loaded into memory.
On both of the servers, all Office Updates prior to SP3 have been installed.
The servers have identical service pack history for Windows updates as well.
I would appreciate any suggestions or help I can get on this problem.
