missing text after publishing

Some of my text is missing on my homepage. Half of it is there , but half is
gone when looking at the page on a browser. The text is there on Frontpage
design and preview. What is my problem I can't seem to locate the issue.

Which page has the missing text? The home page looks complete to me.
Also indicate what text is missing and where in the page it is supposed to
be.

Which version of FP are you using? 2003? Add a valid doctype to your pages.

You might want to do some cleaning up of your code. Paragraphs need a
beginning and ending <p>text</p> You have a lot of <br> tags you are using
to add spaces and an excess of font syles and colors. You also might want to
consider moving from shared borders and navigation bots to a DWT that uses
an external style sheet and css layout. If you are interested, I will show
you a basic layout.

Had some time as it is a rainy day here in Virginia
http://www.css-layouts.org/wall-posters/
This will give you an idea of what you can do using css and a css based
layout. By no means complete and does not validate but once you set it up it
would be a whole lot easier to main and a lot easier to fix mistakes
without all of the extra formatting code. Can be done with fp but much
easier to work with css using expression web.

Patricia,
I really like the css layout. My problem is I have a tough time with
Frontpage. I use Frontpage 2003 by the way. Would it be easy to trnsfer files
etc. to a css based layout ?

No, it means a lot of work on your part to clean up the current layout. But
looking at some of your pages, it looks like you have problems on quite a
few of them. I would consider it more a long term project. Develop a DWT
with your menu. footer, masthead. I just used text but you could develop
your own logo and use it for the masthead. Content area for the various
posters is a table with styling moved to the external style sheet. I only
did a half way job as I just did not have the time. The template itself is
one I offer for free and just made a few changes. It is more to give you an
idea of what you can do and how much cleaner the code is when all of the
formatting is moved to the style sheet.

Pat,

I will see what I can do. Thanks for your help. Do you do that sort of work
through your website ?

Gil

Yes Gil, I do help others. More to get the most out of the program and use
it correctly. Kind of one on one when I have the time or create a template
and give you the sources where you can learn how to do what you want to do.

Hi Pat,

This thread is getting long and it is difficult to read. If I am interested
in getting started can I connect you through Expression Web ? Or what is best.

Regards,
Gil

I finally figured out what was wrong. I tried adding my own theme and that
failed as you can guess from this thread. After adding a Frontpage theme all
is well Thanks for all the advice.
