Hi you all,

I'm posting here this message coz maybe some Excel-guru will give me the
solution. I moved from Excel under WinXP to the 2004 version under
Tiger. Everything is great. Compatibility works quite good (still got
some problem with transparency but I can handle it). The big missing is
the "old" F2 function. Under WinXP when you press F2 it give you the
possibility to modify the content of a cell. I didn't find this function
under Tiger. Is there any other possibility to avoid double-clicking
with the mouse or just re-write the whole content of a cell? Maybe for
most of you is a silly question but I work alot with Excel and mainly
only by keyboard.

Thanks, Diego

CTRL + U

However does require two hands as opposed to a finger!

How does this affect my iBook, where f1/f2 are for screen brightness,
and f3-f5 audio adjustment? Would this macro-thing over-ride screen
brightness at all times, only when Excel is open, or as well as screen
brightness, or will it not work at all in this case?

The macro doesn't toggle system preferences...

You can set your fkeys to do their hardware functions (the default
setting for MacOS, I believe) or act as software function keys, by
unchecking/checking the "Use F1-F12 keys to control software features"
checkbox in System Preferences/Keyboard and Mouse pane.

If you want to leave your Fkeys controlling hardware features, get the
software features by holding the "fn" key down when you type Fx.

Is there an equivalent of using F4 to insert $ in cell references when
editing a formula in the formula bar?
