Missing Users tasks in MPS2003

I'm importing projects from project Server 2002 to 2003 and can see all tasks
assigned to them under the resource tab but under the task tab the tasks
don't appear. If I copy the tasks into a 2003 template they appear but not if
I import them. What am I missing?
