missing word toolbar and menus

missing word toolbar and menus at the top of all new and
old word docs. This just started after a couple years of
normal behavior. I have no toolbar at the top of ALL word
docs. None of the proposed fixes can be attempted because
I cant go to the view manu or any other manu because they
are not there. The tool bar is not hideing nor docked off
the the side. It just is not there. I can control p to get
a print menu, but the other control or alt t or v has no
effect to get to the tool bar or the menus. This means I
cant format anything, open other files, well like I said
there is no tool bar whatsoever. All there is is the name
of the doc at the top and just under that is the
margin/tab ruler, with nothing in between. Any
suggestions? I have already deleted and reinstalled word.
Ther just must be something in some main set up or

This is a good start, as it sometimes seems to goose the Registry, but
sometimes it is necessary to actually nuke the Registry key as detailed in

I have had the same problem - missing Tools dropdown menu
in Word 2000. I have followed the directions given at
thne MS Word MVP site in deleting the Dataz key and then
restarting before opening Word - problem still persists. I
have made sure the SR-1 is installed. All without any
help. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
