Mixing Task and Resource codes in views

Matt Steele

I cannot find a post by one of the regulars in this group on how to mix task
and resource codes in a task view or resource view (like resource usage
view). Can someone please post the link to the answer?

Thanks.

You cannot mix task and resource codes in the same View and Table. Because
of how the Microsoft Project Data Model is contructed, you can basically see
only task information in a task View and resource information in a resource
View. The two key exceptions to this rule are the Task Usage and Resource
Usage view. The Task Usage view shows complete task information and only a
little resource information, which is the resource name indented and
italicized below the task name. The Resource Usage view shows complete
resource information plus only a little task information, represented by the
task name(s) indented and italicized below the resource name. Notice in the
Resource Usage view that you cannot show the complete WBS for each task,
with phase and deliverable summary tasks. So, the answer to your question
is no, you cannot do that. Sorry for the bad news.
