MMC affect on VB4

I downloaded some file recovery software to my Windows 98
pc. The download included Microsoft Management Center
software. Now I am unable to open my Access 95 and my
Visual Basic 4. Could the download have affected some
crucial dll? Does anyone have any idea what has gone
wrong?
