MO 2000 SR-1 Professional

Can someone please help me. Every (seems to be) 5min. The
windows installer shows on my computer and appears to be
installing, but after a while it asks me for a disk.
(that sadly,) I do not have. Now i was told to un
install it (MO)and that will solve the problem. Yes it
does but then I no longer have an word processing
application.. everything is off my system. No word, no
excell pp. exc. So I had to go to restore and get my
stuff back, now the problems came back. Can anyone tell
me how to resolve this problem w/out uninstalling, and
w/out the disk?

Thank you,
it will most appreciative.

A similar thing has happened to me at work. Every time I
try to open an Excel file, the installer program comes up
and eventually asks me for the MO SR-1 Professional
Data1.msi file. When I point it to the original DATA1.MSI
file (non SR-1) on my company's network, it tells me that
this is not a valid installation disk. SR-1 is a patch to
the original installation, so this is ridiculous. There
must be a way to at least allow me to reinstall the SR-1
patch. When I currently try to reinstall (after
downloading it from MS) the .exe app tells me that I
already have it installed. This is a catch-22. And it is
very aggravating. Maybe it's time to switch to a Linux or
MAC OS... *sigh*
