Mobile Me & Entourage 2008 Authentication Error -17897

Hello

I have got Office for Mac 2008 and have a mobile me e-mail. However I am unable to create my account for entourage due to Authentication Error -17897.

I have deleted my account and created account numerous times. I have changed the port number to try and resolve this as suggested. Have researched this issue on various forums but I am still unable to create my account due to error 17897.

IMAP server: mail.me.com
SMTP server: smtp.me.com

I did my software update on my macbook pro last week and since then mobile me and entourage 2008 will not work. Hopefully someone here is able to help me out with this issue.

It's unclear if it was working before and quit after the update. If after
the update.....

Did you install the Safari beta? If yes, remove it. That might fix the
problem.

It came with an uninstaller. If you've deleted it, then download the beta
again to get the uninstaller.

BTW, it was a disaster for me too.
