Mobile Me Sync with Outlook wiped out Entourage contact categories

I synced my PC running Outlook with my Mac, and it wiped out all of the categories I had assigned to my contacts in Entourage. All of them were reset to no category, even though the vast majority had the same category on both machines. I'd like to be able to sync, but I need my categories. Any suggestions?

Surely you have a backup you could use especially working with the new
technology that has been rife with problems?

I would recover your contacts from a backup then turn off Sync Services
until the problems get resolved with MobileMe.

Do a search in Apple Help for "Restoring items backed up with Time Machine."

Entourage stores everything in one database file.

If you write the archived copy back, you will need to rename your current
Identity so it does not overwrite it. You can get your contact info out by
exporting and import it into your current Identity.
