MODI using image var in .NET?

I hope this is the correct newsgroup for this question.

Does anyone know if/how the MODI object can be programmed to use a
bitmap or image stored in a variable (.NET)? I'm performing OCR on
selected-region screen caps and would like to avoid the step of saving
an image to disk solely to have MODI load it up again.
