I have a user that has non-recurring appointments being changed to recurring
appointments, when she does no more than make a simple modification to the
text of the appointment and then hits the "Save and Close" button. These
appointments are not, and never were, "recurring" appointments. She doesn't
even go into the "Recurrence" dialog, yet the appointment ends up as a
"recurring" appointment, when everything is said and done. I just watched her
open up one of these problem appointments, go into the "Recurrence" dialog,
hit the "Remove Recurrence" button, hit the "Ok" button and then hit the
"Save and Close" button. At that point, the appointment is not a "recurring"
appointment. She then immediately opened up the appointment again, changed
some text on the main screen and then again hit the "Save and Close" button.
After that, the appointment was again a "recurring" appointment! I can't
duplicate this problem, on my workstation.
This is in Outlook 2003. Both her and my workstations have all Office
updates applied. Has anyone seen this problem before...and if so, was there a
fix for it?
Appreciate it.
