Modifiy Paste Default in Word07

D

db

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone
knows how to modify the
registry or a setting to
get the Paste Special
to default on "unformatted
text"

It is highly annoying that
I paste data from webpage
into a document and I
have to manually select
unformatted text.

if I forget, then my letter
becomes html formatted
and it is aggrevating trying
to turn it back into a plain
page.

Or is there a quick trick?

thanks for the suggestion.

it's interesting that even
with the aggregate of
thousands of microsoft
minds,

there is "one" who can
come up with simple
solutions to simple
nuiscances.

it takes a third party soft
ware maker to provide
the utilities to make office
a bit easier.

maybe the people at
microsoft use a technique
that we don't know about.

in case, thanks again.

I don't know if this helps for Paste-special, but it probably would with a
generic paste: On Word Options dialog (press Office button at upper left and
choose Options button from bottom of menu) go to Advanced; there is a Cut,
Copy, and Paste section where you can set defaults for such settings.

very interesting, indeed.

thanks for the suggestion
and I will try it out asap.

also, I noticed that I could
unformat the html text with
a couple of the styles listed,

like the
no spacing and normal.

thanks again for the helpful
tip!
