modify graphic indicators

P

Paul

Hi all,
thanks everyone for your help over the past couple of months.

I have a colour blind person working on my team. she has pointed out that
the RAG [ red amber green ] status I'm using doesn't show up to her - ie
it's all just grey.

I don't want to change the colour representation simply because for those
that are not colour blind it is very useful.

Is there a way of modify/adding your own graphics to that can be used as
indicators. I fear however that I'm asking for the moon on a stick here.

Any help would be really appreciated.

All the best

Paul

Hi,

You're unfortunately right. You can't add your own indicators.

Paul, you cannot add graphical indicators, but I believe you could make use
of the ones built inot Project. At the bottom of the list are "face"
indicators: a green smile, yellow straight face, and red frown. Would that
not suit both color and graphic representations? Or am I missing something
here?

Please let us know.

Hi All,

I found this post back in August of 2005. I don't know if this will
help. Please note: I have not tried the DLL modification noted:
============================================
"I've hacked the dll holding the images - PRJRES.DLL - try it using
reshack
http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker - remember to keep an original copy
of
the file!
Look for bitmap id:s 736 and up - you'll probably have to change the
masks
as well (800+ -something) - trial-and-error will show what pairs go
together.
