Modify icon on Quick Access toolbar

When I add a command to the Quick Access toolbar that does not have an icon
displayed in the left panel, a generic circle icon is added to the QAT.
How can I modify that icon or any other icon on the QAT. It is confusing to
have more than one identical icon on the QAT. Any ideas

Hello Elaine,

You've landed in a discussion group for users of Mac versions of Word (not
your fault: the interface is badly designed). The Mac equivalent to Word
2007 hasn't yet been released.

Although there are several people here who are experts in both Mac and PC
and they may come by soon, you're likely to get quicker results in a
specialized discussion group for PC Word. Start here:

In case you will come back - right click on that icon on QA, go to
properties>second tab called something like allias (sorry do not have
English Win in here) at the bottom there is button *change icon*. and
there you can click on button *browse* and in file windows/system32/
shell32.dll there are quite a lot of windows icon. I think that this
file is normally hiden so first you have to reveal in control
panels>folder option>show hidden and system files.
