modify notes

I scan a pile of documents into OneNote. They all appear in one (1) unfiled
note. Now I want to move sections of this unfiled note and either create a
new note or add to another note. How is this done?

You simply drag the page tab (on the RHS of the page) over the
required notebook / sections / section groups. If you wait over a
notebook, section or section group it will open after a short delay
allowing you to drop into that section. When you are on the correct
section drop the item on the RHS of the page (where the page tabs are).

To make sure that I understand you, I drag the plus sign (+) of the portions
of the unfiled note that I want to the correct notebook, section or
subsection?

John,

Thank you for your response. Part of my problem may be using the correct
vernacular to describe the problem or what I want to do. In short your
answer helps move entire pages of data, but what I want to do is move a
portion of a single page. For example if I scan a newspaper I would have in
one page the front page, 2nd page etc. in ONE onenote page. I want to be
able to separate the 2nd page so to speak of the newspaper from the first
page, and so forth to put on a separate OneNote page. I hope that I have not
confused you = - )
