Modify selection button remains grey

When modifying a toolbar, adding buutons to it, I would
like to change the appearance of the button but the MODIFY
SELECTION

Hi Frans,

What command are you attempting to modify? Is it a custom button you
added or one of the built-in commands?

Without more details on the specific steps you are taking I can only
make a wild guess - make sure you have the command you wish to modify
on the Toolbar, not in the Customize dialog box.
