Hi there,
I've made a table of contents that I now need to change. I've been reading
up about the subject and maybe I'm missing something but I can't find an
example for doing this.
Essentially I need to add section numbering to my TOC entries. In other
words, I have to go from this:
Introduction 4
Significance and Project History 6
Motivation 13
Preliminary Work 16
Approaches 18
Implementation 23
Platform choice 23
Calculations 24
More Calculations 25
.....to this:
1. Introduction 4
1.1 Significance and Project History 6
1.2 Motivation 13
1.3 Preliminary Work 16
1.4 Approaches 18
2. Implementation 23
2.1 Platform choice 23
2.2 Calculations 24
2.3 More calculations 25
Is there a way to update the TOC to do this, or do I simply have to go
through the document and change the entries by hand, the update the TOC?
