Modifying an existing workspace template

PedroJose

Hi all,

I have a template that has been used successfully for a while. When I
publish a new project, its workspace gets provissioned with the base template
and all is good. We have now determined further requirements for the base
template, like new fields in some views, more web parts on the main page,
etc...

Can I just edit the existing template and re-save it, or do I need to create
a new one from scratch and re-do the things that already are in the current
template?? If I can edit the current template and re-save, how do I do so??

Please advise.

Thx

PedroJose

Is it possible to have multiple templates created and available to you upon
publishing a schedule? For instance, I'd like to create a workspace from
Template1 if the project is for my Operations group, but a workspace from
Template2 if it is from my accounting group.

Or is a choice of one template only? I

It is possible with custom development or third-party add-on. I think I saw
a product offering like this from one of the project partners out there. Do
a search on it. We're working on a solution that back-peddles updates into
existing workspaces when you make changes to it's parent template. That's
another challenge that people have with 2007.
