modifying code troubles

C

Carlee

Hello again,

I got some partial help, but I am not sure how to apply the advise.

I use the following code to import the values contained in a specific file
called 'Copreco Daily Reading Submission'

Issue: I want to use the 'Application.GetOpenFileName' method to enable the
user browse for a file, then use the selected file to run the rest of the
code.

Questions:
1. I am not sure how to set a variable to return the file name selected by
the user
2. i am not sure how to handle errors if the file selected, isn't the right
one

Can anyone help me out?

change the GetSaveAsFileName to GetOpenFileName

You are doing about the only check you can. If you don't know what the name
of the workbook should be, then how can you check if it is the correct one.
If you do know what is should be, then no reason to ask - just open it. If
you original question should have been how ask the user where it is located,
then you want to use a folder picker dialog:
