modifying custom fields from Web Access

Is it possible for a user to change the value of a Task Enterprise Custom
Text Field from Project Web Access? Or must you open Project Professional
to make changes to the Task Custom Text field?

Yes.

First, you have to select the Enterprise Custom fields in the Enterprise
Global Template before using them in a project.

Then, you have to set the fields to be updated by resources:
"Tools/Personalize/Published Fields..."
