I have created building diagrams for our campus that show all the
locations of network data ports. I have placed all the data port shapes on a
PORT layer.
I successfully created Custom Properties for all the ports by selecting
all of them from the Edit Menu by type/layer. I am trying to edit one of the
Custom Properties and make the change apply to all port shapes. I access all
the port objects by selecting the port layer, then right-clicking in the
Custom Properties window(Multiple Shapes Selected), selecting define
properties, and making the changes. After making the changes the Custom
Properties window appears with the correct change, but the changes don't
affect any of the shapes. I have also attempted the edit from the shape
sheets. But it appears that the shape sheets will only edit one shape. I
have also tried right clicking on a shape (all shapes selected)and selecting
shape/custom properties, and using the shape menu/Custom properties from the
menu bar. None of these methods have changed the custom properties.
Any suggestions?
