Modifying Project Server Sharepoint Template

I would like to replace the standard sharepoint template that project
uses with the Meeting Workspace template in order to utilize the
multiple page feature. Is there any way to accomplish this?

As an FYI, I tried creating a meeting workspace site under a Project
Server provisioned sharepoint site and then added some of the Project
specific webparts. I kept getting the error message "The following
file(s) have been blocked by the administrator:
/sites/projectserver_167/test/Views/PortfolioView.asp" so I'm assuming
there is something special about the sharepoint site that project
creates that allows the project webparts to work. Anyone have any
insight into this issue?
