I need to add a new list to the default template so that it will be included
on all new templates, how do I go about this please?

Thanks in advance

I'd recommend you do a search through the Microsoft documentation to get
the official instructions, but generally, this is how you would do it:

1) Create a new project workspace using the Site Settings functionality.
*DO NOT* create the workspace by creating a new project in MPP. It is important
that the workspace has not been associated with a project.
2) Add your list to the site.
3) Save the site as a template into the site template gallery.
4) Download the .stp file to a local drive.
5) Run the STSADM addtemplate command to register the new template with Project
Server
6) Go into the Project Server Settings, Workspace Provisioning Settings,
and set the default template to your new template.

Hi again Gary, I followed these steps on a couple of different instances of
Project Server but I found slight variations in WSS around step 6 - 'Set Up
Groups for this Site' page; on one instance the page was there but all I
could do was click ok at the bottom of the page and on the second instance
the page wasnt there at all! ie it skipped from end of step 5 straight to
displaying the new template. In both cases the end result worked ok but
should I be concerned that something might not work in the future regarding
permissions and groups??

thanks in advance

Steve
