Modifying PWA View to Prevent Entry

Greetings,

Is it possible to modify the Task View in PWA to prevent a Resource
from entering values in the "Remaining Work" column without customing
the WebPart? I don't want to remove the column, rather just grey it
out, so that they add values via the "%Work Complete" column only.

I have a feeling that I need to customize the Webpart to accomplish
this. If so, any good tutorials available on this process?

If you are using the % Work Complete method for tracking progress, then
there is no way to prevent users from modifying the Remaining Work column.
Therefore, I would simply make this a training and performance issue with
your team members. Hope this helps.
